What is Hylenex®

At Doxwel, we offer Hylenex® as a safe and effective treatment used to adjust or dissolve hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers.

Whether you’re looking for subtle refinement, correction, or a fresh start, Hylenex® helps restore balance and harmony with precision and expertise.

This treatment is designed for patients who may feel that previous filler results no longer align with their features, goals, or facial balance. It can be used to soften overfilled areas, correct unevenness, address filler migration, or prepare the face for a more intentional treatment plan moving forward.

Our Approach

Hylenex® is not approached as a simple reversal treatment.

At Doxwel, treatment begins with a careful assessment of your existing filler, facial structure, tissue quality, and aesthetic goals. The objective is not always to dissolve everything, but to determine what needs to be refined, adjusted, or reset in order to restore a more natural and balanced result.

Each treatment is performed with precision, using a controlled approach based on the area treated, the amount of filler present, and the desired outcome.

In some cases, Hylenex® may be used for subtle correction. In others, it may be part of a broader plan to fully dissolve previous filler before rebuilding the area with a more intentional approach.

Our Approach

Assessment

The process begins with a detailed consultation to evaluate the existing filler, the treated area, facial balance, and your desired outcome. During this assessment, the provider determines whether the goal is partial refinement, full dissolving, or preparation for a future corrective treatment plan.

Treatment

Hylenex® is carefully injected into the targeted area to break down hyaluronic acid filler.

The treatment is typically quick and focused, allowing the provider to address specific areas with precision.

Results

Some improvement may begin within 24–48 hours, with continued refinement over the following days as the product breaks down and the body clears the treated area. (Exhibit Medical Aesthetics)

Depending on the amount of filler present and the desired outcome, additional assessment or treatment may be recommended.

Safety & Clinical Considerations
Safety is an important part of Hylenex® treatment.

Before treatment, your provider will review your medical history, allergies, previous filler treatments, and the timeline of those treatments to determine whether Hylenex® is appropriate for you.
Hylenex® may not be recommended for patients with certain allergies, sensitivities to its ingredients, active infection in the treatment area, or other medical considerations. A consultation is required to determine candidacy.

Mild swelling, tenderness, or temporary changes in the treated area may occur after treatment. Most patients can resume normal activities shortly after, but personalized aftercare instructions should always be followed.

Inform the provider of all previous filler treatments and timelines.
